WASHINGTON-February 26, 2009-World Wildlife Fund (WWF) today unveiled new educational resources as part of its strategy to educate and engage young people about global climate change via the upcoming Earth Hour event. Earth Hour is WWF's global initiative in which tens of millions of people around the world will show support for action on climate change by turning off their lights for one hour on March 28,2009 at 8:30 p.m. local time.

"Climate change is the greatest human induced crisis facing the world today. It is totally indiscriminate of race, culture and religion. It affects every human being on the planet," said the Archbishop.
February 19, 2008 World Wildlife Fund (WWF) announced today the City of Atlanta has agreed to "turn out" once again as an official Flagship City for Earth Hour 2009. On Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. local time, individuals, businesses and local government officials throughout Atlanta are encouraged to take part in this historic evening by turning off non-essential lights for one hour in support for a call to action

Paris, February 10 2009 WWF announced today that Paris known as the City of Lights will lead a list of 28 cities and towns across France that have committed to join the world in making a visual vote for decisive action on climate change by turning off their lights for one hour during Earth Hour 2009 on March28th.
